Union Minister Ramdas Athawale criticized Shiv Sena-UBT MP Sanjay Raut for suggesting foul play in the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash. Athawale dismissed the allegations as baseless and emphasized the need to avoid politicizing such a tragic incident.
Sanjay Raut had expressed suspicion over Ajit Pawar’s death and called for a thorough investigation into the plane crash. He alleged that the BJP had threatened Ajit Pawar with irrigation scam files after he showed interest in a merger with the NCP-SP, leading to his mysterious death shortly after.
Athawale refuted the claims, stating that there was no truth to the accusations of political threats. He highlighted ongoing investigations into the incident, including inquiries by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the Civil Aviation Ministry, to determine the cause of the crash.
