Amid a tense atmosphere in Parliament and ongoing clashes between the Opposition and government regarding the NEET paper leaks debate, Union Minister J.P. Nadda condemned the Opposition’s behavior in the Rajya Sabha. Nadda, the Upper House Leader, expressed disappointment over the Opposition’s irresponsible actions despite the government’s readiness for discussions on various issues, including NEET.

Nadda highlighted that the Opposition’s conduct was highly irresponsible and was disrupting the decorum of Parliament. He accused them of disregarding the House’s dignity by continuously causing disruptions. The impasse between the government and Opposition over the NEET paper controversy has persisted since the start of the Monsoon Session, with the Opposition demanding discussions and the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju reiterated the government’s willingness to engage in debates on all student-related matters. However, he criticized the Opposition for ignoring this offer. Despite the government agreeing to some of the Opposition’s demands, Rijiju pointed out that the latter was obstructing proceedings by imposing new conditions and focusing on slogans rather than constructive debates.

Backing Rijiju’s stance, JP Nadda affirmed the Modi government’s commitment to transparency and decision-making in the public’s interest. He labeled the Opposition’s actions as ‘anti-people’ and accused them of avoiding meaningful discussions. Nadda emphasized the importance of dialogue and debate in a democracy, criticizing the Opposition for undermining democratic processes and values.
