Union Minister for Communication, Jyotiraditya Scindia, commended postal workers for their service to the nation and urged them to lead the way in embracing new technologies. He highlighted that post offices now offer digital banking, e-commerce services, and government scheme distributions, moving beyond traditional roles. Speaking at a Rural Postal Conference in Ujjain, Scindia emphasized the pivotal role of postal workers in connecting technology with society, describing them as crucial to India’s progress.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, present at the conference, praised the postal workers for their contribution to nation-building and rural India’s development. Scindia recognized the dedication of postal employees, especially those serving in remote areas, as the backbone of the Indian Post. He expressed confidence that the Indian Postal Department, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, is undergoing significant transformation towards becoming a global logistics powerhouse by 2047.
Addressing the conference, Chief Minister Yadav highlighted the state government’s efforts to enhance postal services for the public. He mentioned initiatives like delivering sacred offerings from Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga directly to people’s homes through postal services. The event celebrated the hard work and commitment of postal workers, acknowledging their essential role in realizing the vision of a developed India and positioning the country as a logistics leader on the global stage.
