Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare J.P. Nadda criticized the Telangana government during a meeting, labeling it an “ATM Sarkar” for the Congress leadership. He accused the state government of diverting funds meant for the public to benefit the Congress leadership, citing claims made by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
J.P. Nadda highlighted alleged corruption in the state’s governance model, specifically pointing out irregularities in projects like Kaleshwaram and the double-bedroom housing scheme. He claimed that costs were inflated while deserving beneficiaries were left out, questioning the transparency of these initiatives.
The Union Minister praised India’s progress towards becoming a developed nation by 2047. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in strengthening democracy and elevating India’s global standing, emphasizing the country’s transition from a recipient to a provider through initiatives like the ‘Corona Vaccine Maitri’ program.
J.P. Nadda also discussed India’s economic transformation, mentioning the significant reduction in leakages in direct benefit transfers. He highlighted India’s role as the “pharmacy of the world” and its strides in pharmaceutical exports and electronics production, showcasing the country’s growth on the global stage.
Refuting allegations of neglect towards Telangana by the Centre, J.P. Nadda dismissed claims of regional bias. He detailed the infrastructure investments in the state, including funds allocated for national highways and railway station redevelopment, aiming to enhance connectivity and accessibility within Telangana.
