Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H.D. Kumaraswamy mentioned that the ongoing political crisis in Tamil Nadu might find a resolution in the next two to three days. However, he expressed skepticism about the possibility of the DMK and AIADMK, traditional political rivals, forming a coalition government. Kumaraswamy shared his views after visiting the Ranganatha Swamy Hill Temple in Mavinakere, Hassan district.
Kumaraswamy emphasized that he does not foresee the DMK and AIADMK setting aside their differences to collaborate in governance, especially sidelining the emerging TVK party. He highlighted that the Governor of Tamil Nadu is carefully considering the political landscape and seeking legal advice on government formation. The Minister hinted at forthcoming developments in the situation.
In response to queries, Kumaraswamy disclosed that the Governor had requested Vijay to provide letters of support from supporting MLAs. He clarified that the Governor’s actions align with the state’s political dynamics and assured that the Central government is not intervening. Expressing reservations about the promises made by TVK leader Vijay, Kumaraswamy raised concerns about the financial feasibility of the proposed initiatives.
