Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan introduced the Bharat-Vistaar app, heralding a digital revolution in agriculture. This AI-powered platform will provide farmers with timely and precise farming information. Launched nationally from Jaipur, the app aims to offer comprehensive agricultural services, enhance transparency, empower farmers, and promote self-reliance.
The platform, inaugurated at the State Institute of Agricultural Management in Durgapura, offers real-time market prices, agricultural practices by ICAR, details on welfare schemes, scientific advisories, weather forecasts, credit facilities, and more. Currently accessible in Hindi and English, it will soon expand to 11 other Indian languages and integrate with AgriStack for instant farm-related solutions.
Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, significant efforts are being made for farmers’ welfare nationwide. Initiatives like MSP procurement, Fasal Bima Yojana, crop diversification, and support for allied activities are benefiting farmers. Rajasthan, led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, is making strides in agricultural technology adoption and innovation, transforming desert regions into productive areas.
The Union Minister stressed the government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare and criticized past policies for not creating buffer stocks during surplus production periods. He assured protection for domestic dairy producers and livestock farmers, emphasizing the government’s dedication to their interests. The Bharat-Vistaar app, described as a historic step by Chief Minister Sharma, will modernize agriculture through AI-driven systems, providing farmers with essential guidance and information for prosperity.
