Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, cycled in Delhi to kick off the 82nd edition of the Fit India ‘Sundays on Cycle’ initiative. The campaign, held nationwide, saw participation from healthcare workers, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts. Over 15,000 locations organized cycling events to promote fitness and active lifestyles under PM Narendra Modi’s Fit India Movement.

Mandaviya, at the Delhi cycling event, emphasized the initiative’s expanding reach and its role in promoting healthier lifestyles. He mentioned that the campaign has become a public movement inspiring people to include physical activity in their daily lives. The Minister highlighted the significance of individual efforts in driving social change, urging citizens to prioritize their health by joining the Fit India Movement.

The cycling event in Delhi attracted participants of all ages, including cyclists, healthcare professionals, and sportspersons, showcasing the initiative’s growing popularity. Olympian Preety Dubey, present at the event, stressed the importance of fitness for everyone, not just athletes. She emphasized that fitness should be a priority for all individuals, regardless of their background.

Anita Solanki, a Yoga and Wellness Coach from the Ministry of Ayush, shared her fitness journey and how she has been helping others improve their lives through fitness.
