Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, visited Rajasthan to oversee the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway and review safety protocols. At the Pinan rest area in Alwar district, Gadkari met with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials to discuss enhancing patrolling and traffic management on the expressway.
He directed NHAI and the police to increase patrolling for improved road safety and quicker emergency response. Gadkari emphasized the importance of preventing accidents by enforcing strict regulations against indiscriminate truck parking along the expressway.
Ahead of his inspection, NHAI officials and contractors conducted extensive repair work on the Delhi-to-Kota carriageway, focusing on the route planned for Gadkari’s visit. The Union Minister is set to review the expressway section from Labana Interchange in Bundi district to the Dara Tunnel in Kota, accompanied by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
