Union Minister for Food, Public Distribution, and Consumer Affairs, Pralhad Joshi, emphasized the government’s dedication to safeguarding students and youth amidst the NEET examination protests. Joshi praised the Centre’s efforts to support students and enhance the education system, addressing concerns over the NEET controversy. He assured transparency by conducting a re-examination with 1,200 CCTV cameras to maintain fairness.

Certain anti-social elements were accused by Joshi of exploiting the protests, urging students to be vigilant. He warned against the infiltration of criminal elements into peaceful demonstrations and emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing irregularities affecting students’ futures. Joshi highlighted the need for students to differentiate between genuine activism and politically motivated influences.

Joshi criticized the demand for resignations over exam leaks, advocating for systemic reforms instead. He pointed out the historical recurrence of paper leaks and stressed the importance of swift justice through the establishment of fast-track courts. Joshi also questioned the accountability of past administrations, including the UPA era, regarding similar incidents.

The Union Minister expressed readiness for a constructive parliamentary debate on the NEET issue, inviting the Opposition to contribute positively. Joshi emphasized the government’s willingness to consider all constructive proposals and engage in a dignified discussion for the benefit of the country’s youth.
