Union Minister Prahlad Joshi criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, for not addressing alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC). Joshi accused the Opposition of politicizing the NEET controversy and urged for a constructive discussion in Parliament. He highlighted the need for a fact-based dialogue and called for unity among Opposition parties to prioritize students’ interests.

Joshi specifically questioned why Rahul Gandhi had not spoken out about the KPSC issue in Karnataka, where the Congress holds power. He emphasized the importance of setting aside political agendas to support KPSC aspirants and students. Joshi raised concerns about corruption allegations against the KPSC chairman and criticized the treatment of protesting students in Karnataka.

Defending the government’s actions regarding the NEET matter, Joshi mentioned the arrests made in connection with the case and the implementation of strict laws against malpractices. He also pointed out past instances of question paper leaks during previous administrations, citing examples from Rajasthan. Joshi highlighted the Modi government’s efforts to enhance educational opportunities and merit-based admissions in the medical sector.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving the examination system, Joshi stated that immediate actions were taken following the alleged NEET paper leak. He emphasized the government’s dedication to implementing necessary reforms to strengthen the examination process and ensure transparency.
