Rijiju expressed gratitude on behalf of the people for this significant step taken during global uncertainties. He emphasized the importance of ensuring smooth fuel supply and preventing hoarding.

Rijiju highlighted the government’s focus on maintaining stable prices for essential fuels like gas, petrol, and diesel. He underscored the significance of the Prime Minister’s decision to keep prices under control, with petrol excise duty reduced to Rs 3 and diesel made duty-free. The minister also mentioned the support from Parliament for the decision to slash excise duties. He noted that MPs, as representatives of the people, would appreciate the government’s efforts in this regard. Rijiju emphasized the need for unity in acknowledging and implementing such crucial decisions for the welfare of the common citizens.

Rijiju dismissed rumors of a potential lockdown and urged state governments to ensure the smooth distribution of fuel while preventing hoarding.
