Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan introduced several welfare programs for the residents of his Lok Sabha constituency, Vidisha, in Madhya Pradesh, to mark his 67th birthday. Among the initiatives is the ‘Mama Coaching Centre’ aimed at aiding economically disadvantaged students in preparing for competitive exams. These coaching centers, set to open in Vidisha, Raisen, and Bhairaunda, will offer free high-quality coaching services.
Chouhan emphasized the importance of ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder a child’s educational prospects. He expressed his commitment to providing underprivileged children with the opportunity to excel in competitive exams and pursue careers in public service. Additionally, he revealed plans to launch mobile medical hospitals in remote areas of Vidisha to deliver healthcare services to marginalized populations.
The mobile medical units are designed to traverse villages and hamlets within all eight Assembly segments of Vidisha, offering medical assistance directly to those in need. Chouhan highlighted the necessity of addressing the healthcare accessibility challenges faced by rural communities, where individuals often have to undertake long journeys for basic medical treatment.
According to Chouhan, the mobile medical vans will be strategically stationed to cater to residents from nearby villages, ensuring prompt medical check-ups and treatments. Patients requiring specialized care will be referred to appropriate healthcare facilities for further assistance. The initiative aims to bridge the healthcare gap in rural and interior regions, providing essential medical services at the doorstep of disadvantaged populations.
On his birthday, Chouhan celebrated by planting saplings at Smart City Park in Bhopal, underscoring the significance of environmental conservation and individual social responsibility. He encouraged everyone to contribute to environmental preservation by planting trees, emphasizing the positive impact such actions have on society and nature.
