Union Minister of State and BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar is optimistic about the Bharatiya Janata Party securing a strong mandate in West Bengal. He believes that issues like infiltration, corruption, and law and order will be effectively handled under a BJP government. Majumdar expressed his confidence in the BJP winning decisively in the state elections, emphasizing the significant voter turnout and support for the party.
In response to concerns about infiltration, Majumdar highlighted the BJP’s strategy of “detect, delete and deport” as a solution to address this critical issue. He assured that tackling infiltration would be a top priority for the party, emphasizing a systematic and lawful approach towards resolving the problem. Majumdar also noted the importance of maintaining security and peace in the region.
Regarding the election process, Majumdar dismissed allegations raised by the Trinamool Congress, stating that the Election Commission had provided clear guidelines to all stakeholders. He emphasized that the Commission had addressed concerns such as the segregation of postal ballots, refuting claims of irregularities made by the opposition party. Majumdar stressed the importance of upholding the integrity of the electoral process.
When questioned about potential investigations into corruption allegations against current leaders, Majumdar emphasized the need for due legal process and impartial decision-making. He stated that actions against corruption would be taken strictly in accordance with the law, without any bias or vendetta. Majumdar reiterated the BJP’s commitment to combating corruption at all levels of governance.
