Union Ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sarbananda Sonowal heeded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to save fuel by arriving together in a single vehicle at a recent Cabinet meeting. This act of carpooling aimed to promote responsible resource usage and set an example for citizens and officials to follow suit in their daily lives. The gesture signifies a collective effort towards fuel conservation and environmental sustainability, echoing the Prime Minister’s emphasis on individual contributions to energy security.

In a similar vein, Union Minister Ram Mohan Naidu and Scindia had previously demonstrated this practice by sharing a vehicle to the Cabinet meeting. Additionally, Delhi Ministers Parvesh Verma and Ravinder Indraj Singh opted for an electric bus to attend an event, showcasing a commitment to eco-friendly transportation methods. Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna also embraced electric mobility by commuting in an e-rickshaw, underscoring the importance of reducing vehicular emissions and promoting sustainable practices.

These initiatives not only help curb pollution and alleviate traffic congestion but also foster a culture of sustainability nationwide. By leading by example, senior government officials send a powerful message to the public, encouraging widespread engagement in conservation endeavors. The collective impact of such individual and collaborative actions can significantly contribute to national objectives like reducing fuel imports, curbing pollution, and addressing climate change challenges.

Prime Minister Modi’s persistent advocacy for energy conservation as a shared responsibility underscores the significance of every citizen’s role in fuel savings. Initiatives like carpooling by senior Ministers are envisioned to inspire people throughout the country to embrace fuel-efficient practices and play a part in safeguarding the environment.
