Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh engaged in discussions with Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) spokespersons in New Delhi to address their concerns regarding the NEET paper leaks and calls for the Education Minister’s resignation. The meeting, which lasted nearly two hours, did not reach a resolution as CJP remained steadfast on one of its demands.
Representing the government, J.P. Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh met with CJP’s spokespersons, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, at the Constitution Club of India. Following the meeting, Union Minister Nadda mentioned that the discussions included three main demands and five reform suggestions from CJP, with plans for further dialogue the next day.
While the talks were conducted in a friendly atmosphere, CJP maintained its stance on the Education Minister’s resignation. CJP’s Ashutosh Ranka informed the media that the government requested time until the following afternoon to address the demand, agreeing to compensate families of deceased NEET aspirants and withdraw legal cases against students. This meeting marked the second round of discussions between the Centre and CJP, following Dr. Jitendra Singh’s call for dialogue to resolve the deadlock.
