The Union Ministry of Education has introduced the online registration portal for Yuva Sangam – Phase VI, a part of the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” initiative. This program enables exposure visits to 22 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) between paired states/Union Territories. “Yuva Sangam” is a Youth Exchange Programme by the Department of Higher Education, focusing on building emotional connections and understanding among young citizens from different regions.
Interested individuals aged 18–30, including students from Higher Education Institutions, National Service Scheme/Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan volunteers, and young professionals, can apply through the official portal at: https://ebsb.aicte-india.org and https://ekbharat.gov.in. The previous phase witnessed over 46,000 registrations nationwide, reflecting a significant interest in experiential learning and national integration.
In Yuva Sangam Phase-VI, 22 HEIs have been designated as nodal institutions across the country. Selected participants will engage in educational and cultural tours lasting five to seven days to their paired states/UTs. The program is structured around five thematic pillars – ‘Paryatan’ (Tourism), ‘Parampara’ (Traditions and Culture), ‘Pragati’ (Development and Governance), ‘Paraspar Sampark’ (People-to-People Connect), and ‘Prodyogiki’ (Technology and Innovation).
The initiative aims to provide participants with firsthand exposure to cultural heritage, development projects, technological advancements, local communities, and educational institutions. This aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Yuva Sangam operates through a collaborative approach involving various Ministries/Departments/Agencies, state governments, and nodal HEIs.
