Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized the online harassment faced by Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter. He expressed strong disapproval of the fake and offensive comments directed at her, emphasizing that such behavior towards any daughter is unacceptable. Adityanath, speaking at an event in Azamgarh where projects worth over Rs 955 crore were inaugurated, highlighted the need to maintain respect for women.
Adityanath promptly instructed the police to file an FIR after noticing derogatory remarks on social media about Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter. He stressed the importance of treating all daughters with dignity, regardless of their background. The Chief Minister’s actions came after three individuals were accused of circulating a defamatory post targeting Yadav’s daughter, leading to the registration of an FIR by the Kanpur Police cyber cell.
The FIR was lodged following complaints from SP leaders regarding morphed images and false claims circulating online about the former Chief Minister’s daughter. Adityanath, while justifying the swift action against offenders, advised Akhilesh Yadav to ensure his party members refrain from disrespectful conduct towards women and senior leaders. He urged Yadav to educate and discipline his followers to prevent abusive behavior.
