Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reaffirmed his government’s commitment to taking strict measures against those implicated in the Ram Temple donation controversy. Speaking in Deoria during the unveiling of Rs 456 crore projects, he mentioned that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) had already initiated action based on its initial findings, ensuring that the guilty parties would face justice.
Adityanath emphasized that he had previously announced in Ayodhya on June 19 that appropriate action would follow the investigation, and the process had commenced. Eight individuals, including cash counting staff and former bank employees, were charged on Thursday evening, leading to their subsequent arrests for misconduct. The government’s stance from the outset was to uncover the truth, and prompt action was taken upon receiving the SIT’s preliminary report.
Taking a dig at Arvind Kejriwal’s visit to Ayodhya regarding alleged misappropriation of devotees’ offerings, CM Yogi criticized the Delhi politician for his governance in the capital. Adityanath highlighted the government’s dedication to Ayodhya’s development and cautioned against sensationalizing the issue, urging for respect towards the sentiments associated with Lord Ram.
Adityanath condemned the opposition for exaggerating the matter and warned against baseless accusations that could harm the sanctity of Ayodhya. He urged individuals with pertinent information to share it with the SIT instead of engaging in public debates. The Chief Minister assured that the investigation was being conducted impartially and reiterated the government’s commitment to taking stringent legal action against any wrongdoers.
