Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated that those responsible for the murder of 17-year-old Surya Pratap Chauhan will face consequences, following the death of the main accused, Asad, in a police encounter in Ghaziabad. The incident occurred shortly after Surya’s killing, which had triggered public outcry and calls for strict action against the culprits.
Deputy Chief Minister Pathak emphasized that the criminals involved in the case will not escape justice, affirming the government’s commitment to upholding law and order. He highlighted that the Chief Minister had instructed for stringent measures to be taken in response to the situation. Surya’s mother expressed satisfaction with the police’s actions, stating that justice had been served through the encounter.
Asad, the prime suspect in Surya’s fatal stabbing, was eliminated during the police operation. He was wanted for the attack that led to Surya’s critical condition and subsequent demise despite medical intervention.
