The team behind the film ‘Drishyam 3’ is gearing up to shift their shooting location from Mumbai to Goa as they progress with production. Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has also been roped in for the movie, adding a fresh and intense vibe to the ‘Drishyam’ series. Filming in Goa is scheduled to commence on January 8 and run until the end of February, featuring the entire main cast including Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Rajat Kapoor.

Amidst the excitement, Akshaye Khanna’s unexpected exit from ‘Drishyam 3’ has sparked discussions within the industry. Reports indicate that the departure was triggered by disagreements over Khanna’s remuneration and certain creative aspects of his role. Allegedly, Khanna demanded a significant pay raise, with figures like INR 21 crore being mentioned, a request that the film’s producers found challenging to accommodate within their budget constraints.

Apart from financial matters, differences also emerged regarding Khanna’s character portrayal, particularly involving a debate about the necessity of him wearing a wig for continuity purposes, a detail that the production team found impractical for the sequel’s storyline. ‘Drishyam 3’, produced by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios, directed by Abhishek Pathak, and written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan, and Parveez Shaikh, is slated for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026.
