The release date of the actresses Patralekhaa and Maanvi Gagroo’s women-led road drama “Heer Sara” has been rescheduled to June 12 from the initial date of May 29. Directed by Kartik Chaudhry, the film also features Arif Zakaria, Shveta Salve, and Nishank Verma in significant supporting roles. The movie follows the emotional journey of two women dealing with personal challenges, societal norms, and emotional growth.

The decision to change the film’s title from “Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry” to “Heer Sara” was made to enhance its impact and resonance with the audience. The new title was considered more audience-friendly and effective for marketing purposes. The filmmakers opted for this change after a positive reception to the trailer release, aiming for a more robust promotional campaign.

The trailer of “Heer Sara,” released on May 12, offers a glimpse into the story of Heer and Sara embarking on a motorcycle journey from Indore to Pondicherry in search of freedom and a fresh perspective. Portrayed by Maanvi Gagroo and Patralekhaa respectively, the characters of Heer and Sara are on a transformative quest to break free from societal pressures and past burdens.

This uplifting road-trip drama delves into themes of identity, female camaraderie, and societal expectations on women. It celebrates the courage to pursue freedom and self-discovery. Produced by Raj Singh Chaudhary, backed by Sony Music India, and co-produced by Maghaa Creations, Next Level Productions, and Opticus Inc., “Heer Sara” is set to hit theaters on June 12.
