US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, indicated that the negotiations for the trade agreement were in their concluding phase, with just a few remaining items to be resolved. Gor described the ongoing discussions as being in the final stages, representing a mutually beneficial outcome for both nations.
Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra of India to the United States underscored India’s economic advancements, positioning the country as a crucial driver of global growth and stability. He highlighted India’s trajectory towards becoming a $7 trillion economy by the end of the decade, attributing this growth to sustained reforms, manufacturing expansion, and investments in advanced technologies.
The summit also emphasized the significance of technology collaboration between India and the US, with a focus on sectors like biotechnology, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and quantum technologies. Both countries aim to enhance bilateral trade to $500 billion by 2030 through closer integration of supply chains, investments, manufacturing, and skilled workforce development.

US officials expressed a keen interest in building trusted technology ecosystems with India, recognizing the country as a key partner in this endeavor.
