US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, S Paul Kapur, is in India for official meetings regarding regional security and shared interests in the Indo-Pacific region. The US Embassy in India welcomed Kapur’s visit, emphasizing the importance of advancing the US-India partnership during his stay.
Kapur, who assumed office as Assistant Secretary of State last October, has a background in academia and government service. His visit aligns with efforts to strengthen ties between the US and India, following recent developments aimed at enhancing bilateral trade relations.
