US Attorney Jeanine Pirro revealed that the suspect in the recent Washington shooting had a premeditated intention to assassinate President Donald Trump. Pirro stated that evidence, including forensic and video proof, directly linked the suspect to the attack on a Secret Service officer during the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.
Pirro emphasized that the attack was carefully planned and described it as a violent, deliberate act aimed at harming the President and anyone in proximity. She mentioned that investigators have constructed a case based on the suspect’s actions and digital evidence tracking his movements leading up to the event.
According to Pirro, the suspect closely monitored the President’s movements in real time, indicating a targeted approach. She highlighted that the suspect was heavily armed, carrying weapons such as a shotgun, handgun, knives, and other tools, suggesting preparation for a large-scale assault.
Authorities have released surveillance footage showing the suspect’s movements at the hotel, including entering a room to discard a coat concealing a weapon before heading towards the event area. Pirro confirmed that additional video evidence will be presented as the case progresses, with prosecutors gearing up for upcoming legal proceedings.
