The outskirts of Abadan in southwestern Iran’s Khuzestan province were hit by a US missile attack, as confirmed by a provincial official. Fortunately, there were no casualties resulting from the attack. Abadan, known for being home to Iran’s oldest oil refinery and bordering Iraq, had also been targeted by US strikes earlier in the week.

Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain reported fresh Iranian aerial attacks on their territories, leading to US refuelling planes evacuating from southern Israel. Jordan’s air defenses intercepted three missiles launched from Iran towards Jordanian territory, with a fourth missile landing in a remote area in southern Jordan without causing harm or damage. Media reports suggested the missiles were aimed at US military aircraft in Aqaba, Jordan, which borders Eilat, Israel.

Following the incident, the US military evacuated refuelling planes from Ramon Airport in southern Israel after the missile attacks towards Jordan. Commercial passenger flights at the airport were delayed due to the attacks. The US Embassy in Amman issued a security alert, evacuating Aqaba’s airport and seaport due to a specific threat, advising Americans to avoid these locations until further notice and to steer clear of military bases in Jordan.

Kuwait reported a power generation and water desalination plant being attacked by Iran for the second time in two days, causing a fire and disrupting electricity production. Bahrain’s air defenses intercepted Iranian aerial attacks targeting the country. The Iranian Health Ministry disclosed that US strikes on its southern provinces since June 27 have resulted in over 57 fatalities and 517 injuries.
