Reacting to US President Donald Trump’s recent commendation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chintan Research Foundation (CRF) President Shishir Priyadarshi emphasized the increasing influence of personal chemistry between national leaders on international relations. Priyadarshi highlighted the significance of the India-US relationship as a crucial strategic partnership in the 21st century, particularly for India.
He pointed out that the gap of 16 months between the bilateral meeting of Prime Minister Modi and President Trump had raised considerable expectations among the citizens of both countries. Priyadarshi underscored the longstanding and multifaceted nature of India-US relations, labeling it as one of the most critical partnerships for both nations, especially for India.
According to Priyadarshi, the importance of the meeting extended beyond the closed-door discussions, encompassing the public statements made by the leaders in front of the global media.
