Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently transferred Rs 2,000 crore directly to the bank accounts of 2 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (2.0). This initiative aims to support lower-income families in constructing their own homes. At an event in Lucknow, the Chief Minister facilitated the fund transfer by clicking a digital button and congratulated the families who received the first installment of PMAY.

More than 2 lakh families in Uttar Pradesh are benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban 2.0). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the positive impact of cleanliness on public health, mentioning the disappearance of diseases with improved sanitation. The state government data reveals that over 2,09,421 families have received direct government assistance under PMAY (Urban 2.0) for home construction.

Emphasizing his government’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of providing essential facilities through thoughtful governance. He noted the inclusive approach of schemes like PM SVANidhi benefiting street vendors and ensuring housing for the needy. Yogi Adityanath credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for addressing long-standing issues like housing, food, and clothing through welfare programs.
