The Uttar Pradesh government is actively preparing for Census 2027, focusing on transparency, technology-driven data collection, and public participation. Minister Narendra Kashyap recently completed his self-enumeration process as part of the state’s digital census campaign. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the first phase of Census 2027 in the state, emphasizing the importance of citizen involvement.
The self-enumeration initiative allows citizens to submit personal and family details online through the census portal, ensuring direct participation in the nationwide exercise. Officials highlight that the new digital mechanism aims to enhance data collection efficiency, accuracy, and error reduction. Uttar Pradesh authorities assure strict adherence to data security and confidentiality standards during the self-enumeration phase.
The self-enumeration process will span 15 days, followed by formal house-listing operations commencing on May 22. To encourage maximum participation, the government plans an extensive awareness campaign from the state to the grassroots level. Help desks and assistance centers will be set up to aid citizens throughout the process. Minister Narendra Kashyap emphasized effective program implementation in alignment with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directives, urging increased public engagement.
