As Varun Konidela’s romantic film ‘Tholiprema’ marked its eighth anniversary in Indian cinema, the actor reminisced about the special significance of the movie. Sharing throwback photos from the 2018 film’s shoot on Instagram, Varun expressed his deep connection to the project. Directed by Venky Atluri, ‘Tholiprema’ stars Varun Tej and Raashii Khanna, with music by S. Thaman.

‘Tholiprema’ narrates the love story of Aditya and Varsha, played by Varun Tej and Raashii Khanna, respectively. Aditya, an extroverted young man, falls for the introverted Varsha, leading to a tale of love and separation before a fateful reunion. The film was also remade in Bengali as ‘Fidaa’, featuring Varun Tej in the lead role.

Varun Konidela, son of Nagendra Babu, made his acting debut in 2014 with ‘Mukunda’ and gained acclaim for his role in the war film ‘Kanche’. Establishing himself as a prominent actor with ‘Fidaa’, he has since appeared in movies like ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’, ‘F2’, and ‘F3’. Recently, Varun starred in ‘Matka’, a period action thriller based on the life of a Matka gambler named Ratan Khetri, set in Visakhapatnam between 1934 and 1988.

Married to Lavanya Tripathi, whom he met on the set of ‘Mister’ in 2017, Varun Konidela tied the knot with her in a lavish ceremony in Tuscany, Italy, on 1 November 2023. The couple welcomed their son, Vaayuv Tej Konidela, on 9 September 2025, marking a new chapter in their family life.
