The much-anticipated horror comedy film ‘Korean Kanakaraju’, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and starring Varun Tej, is set to hit screens globally on August 7 this year. Varun Tej shared the release date poster on social media, promising entertainment on the said date. The movie’s Behind The Scenes video for the popular single ‘Kamsahamnida’, with music by Thaman, was released in April, while the final shooting schedule took place in Korea in March.
Mounted on a significant budget, ‘Korean Kanakaraju’ combines horror and comedy in a unique cross-cultural narrative spanning Indian and Korean settings. Varun Tej’s character in the film is expected to showcase a fresh portrayal unlike his previous roles. The title glimpse, released earlier, teases a gripping storyline involving a possessed Kanakaraju, played by Varun Tej, in a chilling encounter with Korean police.
