Veteran Bollywood actor Raza Murad reminisces about his experience working with the late legendary Kishore Kumar in the 1980 film “Door Waadiyon Mein Kahin.” He shared that he spent 22 days filming with Kishore Kumar in the beautiful valleys of Kashmir, portraying a compassionate jailor alongside the iconic singer-actor who played a jailed prisoner.
In the film “Door Waadiyon Mein Kahin,” directed, produced, and scored by Kishore Kumar, themes of loneliness, detachment, and the pain of not belonging were explored. This unique film stood out for its absence of songs, using only natural ambient sounds for its background score.
Kishore Kumar, known for his versatile singing abilities and yodelling, passed away suddenly in 1987 on his brother Ashok Kumar’s 76th birthday. Raza Murad, a 75-year-old actor, has showcased his talent in various films and TV series, including “Prem Rog,” “Ram Lakhan,” “Tridev,” and “Padmaavat.”
