Veteran actress Divya Dutta recently shared her perspective on the comparisons between Bollywood and regional cinema. She highlighted that judging an entire industry based on a single perspective is not fair. According to her, the success of a film is determined by its storytelling and presentation, irrespective of the language or industry it belongs to.
Divya Dutta expressed that it would be unjust to generalize that regional cinema handles comedy better than Bollywood or that something is lacking in Hindi comedy films. She emphasized that the strength of a comedy film lies in its narrative and how it is presented, regardless of its origin in Bollywood, regional cinema, or even international cinema.
At the grand premiere of the Punjabi comedy film “Carry On Jatta 4,” Divya Dutta showed her support by gracing the red carpet alongside industry friends. She was seen engaging with the cast of the comedy movie during the event.
Recently, Divya Dutta appeared in “Chhaava,” a historical drama portraying the life of Sambhaji, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, features Vicky Kaushal, Akshaye Khanna, and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles, adapting Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel Chhava.
In her recent digital endeavor, “Mayasabha: Rise of the Titans,” Divya Dutta starred alongside Aadhi Pinisetty, Chaitanya Rao, Sai Kumar, and Nassar.
