Veteran actress Lillete Dubey has reaffirmed her profound love for the stage, labeling theatre as her “most enduring love” in honor of World Theatre Day. Taking to Instagram, she shared nostalgic theatre pictures and penned a heartfelt note reflecting her lifelong bond with theatre.
World Theatre Day, celebrated on 27 March globally, was established in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute. This day witnesses a range of national and international theatre events to commemorate the occasion, including the dissemination of the World Theatre Day International Message by a prominent figure reflecting on Theatre and a Culture of Peace.
In her latest venture, the 72-year-old actress Lillete Dubey stars in “Songs of Paradise,” directed by Danish Renzu, alongside Saba Azad, Soni Razdan, and Zain Khan Durrani. The film portrays the story of a Kashmiri woman aspiring to be a singer, drawing inspiration from the renowned Raj Begum, the Melody Queen of Kashmir.
Renowned for her roles in various films, Lillete Dubey has graced the screen in movies like Zubeidaa, Monsoon Wedding, and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, showcasing her versatility and talent in the industry.
