Veteran theatre personality and actor Pratima Kannan recently met her old friend, acclaimed actress Seema Biswas, after a gap of almost 25 years. Pratima shared a photo on Instagram showing the two friends standing together and smiling at the camera. They had previously worked together in the 2004 film “Ek Hasina Thi.”
Pratima, known for her roles in Bollywood movies and Hindi television dramas, began her career in 1997 with the English film “Sixth Happiness.” Her most recent on-screen appearance was in the 2024 film “Merry Christmas” directed by Sriram Raghavan, featuring stars like Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi.
Seema Biswas rose to fame for her portrayal of Phoolan Devi in Shekhar Kapur’s “Bandit Queen,” a role that earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress. She also received the Best Actress Genie Award in 2006 for her performance in Deepa Mehta’s “Water.” Seema’s notable works include “Khamoshi: The Musical,” “Pinjar,” “Bhoot,” “Vivah,” “Half Girlfriend,” and the series “The Family Man.”
In her most recent film appearance, Seema was part of “Jolly LLB 3,” a legal comedy drama and the third installment in the Jolly LLB series. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the film also stars actors like Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Amrita Rao, and Huma Qureshi.
