Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International President Alok Kumar has urged an investigation into allegations of embezzlement at the Ram Temple. The request follows claims by opposition figures like Priyanka Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, and others regarding misuse of donations at the Ayodhya temple. Alok Kumar highlighted concerns raised by these leaders, emphasizing the need for a thorough inquiry.
In his letter, Alok Kumar referenced Priyanka Gandhi’s query on the involvement of higher-ups in potential misappropriation. He also mentioned Arvind Kejriwal’s assertion of theft involving valuable items from the temple. Additionally, SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav alleged a significant scam at the temple, prompting further scrutiny.
The VHP chief pointed out discrepancies in records, noting missing precious metals and large sums of cash donated by devotees. He cited AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s claims of theft amounting to over Rs 200 crore, implicating multiple employees. Alok Kumar also called for consequences if false allegations are proven, stressing the importance of accountability.
The VHP is set to convene in Delhi on July 19 and 20, with an expected attendance of approximately 300 representatives. Originally planned for Ayodhya, the meeting’s relocation to the capital aligns with ongoing investigations into alleged irregularities at the Ram Temple.
