Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) President, Alok Kumar, has called for the prompt registration of an FIR regarding the alleged misappropriation of donations meant for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Kumar emphasized that any misuse of funds intended for Lord Ram’s temple undermines the faith of the Hindu community.
Kumar expressed concern over the reported irregularities and stressed the importance of swift legal action in the matter. He highlighted the formation of an SIT to investigate the embezzlement and urged for immediate filing of the FIR without delay.
Emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation, Kumar demanded that senior officers oversee the probe and expert assistance be provided as necessary. He also called for expeditious completion of the investigation and filing of a chargesheet at the earliest.
Kumar underscored the importance of a fair examination of all accused individuals, stating that the investigation should be conducted impartially. He urged for a transparent process and emphasized the significance of allowing law enforcement agencies to work independently.
Commenting on the political aspect, Kumar alleged that opposition parties were politicizing the issue ahead of the 2027 elections in Uttar Pradesh. He criticized those hindering the construction of the Ram Mandir and emphasized the historical and political significance of the ongoing struggle.
Highlighting the importance of professional management of temple funds, Kumar advocated for the involvement of experienced administrators and the establishment of strict operating procedures. He emphasized the need for foolproof systems to safeguard the temple’s assets and expressed confidence in the trust’s ability to implement these measures.
