Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi announced that the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) aims to attract significant investments to Saurashtra and Kutch regions. The state government, under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s guidance, is prioritizing the resolution of issues faced by industrialists to foster rapid industrial growth.
Sanghavi highlighted the importance of a recent coordination meeting in Rajkot with industrialists from Saurashtra–Kutch, focusing on addressing grievances and operational challenges promptly. Rajkot, termed as Gujarat’s “growth engine” in manufacturing, is poised to draw investments nationally and internationally, according to the Deputy Chief Minister.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the VGRC on January 11 at Marwadi University in Rajkot. The conference is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for substantial investments in the two regions. Sanghavi emphasized the state’s commitment to further development and ease of operations for traders, manufacturers, and industrialists in Rajkot.
Under various industrial policies, Gujarat has provided significant incentive assistance to industrialists, with a focus on sectors like textiles and small-scale industries. Sanghavi praised Gujarat’s efficiency in disbursing industrial incentives, attributing the success to round-the-clock efforts by the Industries Department. He also commended the state’s track record in attracting investments under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
In-charge Minister Jitu Vaghani lauded the government’s direct engagement with industrialists, emphasizing the pivotal role of entrepreneurs in bolstering the state’s economy. The press conference, attended by key officials and legislators, highlighted the state’s proactive approach towards fostering a conducive environment for industrial growth.
