The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for Kutch and Saurashtra showcased significant commitments from top industrial leaders in India, solidifying Gujarat’s status as a key investment destination. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani disclosed plans to double the company’s investment to Rs 7 lakh crore over the next five years, focusing on developing a large-scale green energy ecosystem in Jamnagar. This initiative aims to boost employment opportunities and enhance the state’s industrial landscape.
Ambani also revealed that Reliance will establish a multi-gigawatt solar power project in Kutch to bolster India’s energy security in the long run. Furthermore, the company will introduce India’s largest AI-ready data center in Jamnagar and launch the Jio Intelligence Platform to provide AI services in regional languages. In a move towards supporting sports and healthcare, Reliance Foundation will collaborate with the Gujarat Government to back the 2036 Olympic vision for Ahmedabad, while also setting up a world-class hospital in Jamnagar.
Adani Ports and SEZ Managing Director Karan Adani announced a substantial investment of Rs 1.50 lakh crore in Mundra over the next five years, aligning with Kutch’s emergence as a prominent energy hub under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance. Jyoti CNC Chairman Parakramsinh Jadeja highlighted the conference’s significance in promoting district-level industrial ecosystems and outlined plans for a Rs 10,000 crore investment in manufacturing, R&D, and skill development. Welspun Chairman B.K. Goenka disclosed a Rs 5,000 crore investment to establish the world’s largest pipeline manufacturing plant in Gujarat, emphasizing the region’s growth trajectory and sustained policy backing.
