Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan praised the Indian cricket team for their victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, calling it a proud moment for the nation. He commended the team’s performance in the final match, highlighting India’s historic achievement in international cricket. India secured their third ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title, making them the first team to achieve this feat.

The Vice President extended his congratulations to Team India for successfully defending their title and acknowledged the immense support from players, support staff, and fans that contributed to this remarkable win. The nation celebrated the victory with great pride, emphasizing the significance of this achievement in the cricketing world. The team’s consistency and determination throughout the tournament were lauded by supporters and leaders across the country.

India’s dominant performance in the final was led by openers Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan, who set the stage for a formidable total. Sanju Samson’s explosive innings of 89 runs off 46 balls, supported by Abhishek Sharma’s quick 52 and Ishan Kishan’s aggressive 54, propelled India to a massive score of 255/5. The bowlers then dismantled New Zealand’s batting lineup, securing a comprehensive victory as the visitors were bowled out for 159 runs in 19 overs.

The Vice President’s message joined a chorus of congratulatory wishes from leaders nationwide, acknowledging India’s historic success on the global cricketing stage. The team’s stellar performance, coupled with the overwhelming support from fans, marked a significant moment in Indian cricket history.
