Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan revealed the statue of social reformer Mannathu Padmanabhan and inaugurated the Mannam Smrithi Mandapam at the Mannam International Centre in Dwarka. He praised Mannathu Padmanabhan as a significant figure in India’s history, emphasizing his role as a social reformer and nation-builder. Radhakrishnan commended the Nair Service Society (NSS), Delhi, for establishing the Mannam Smrithi Mandapam, highlighting its importance as a tribute to Mannathu Padmanabhan’s ideals of social justice and national service.

The Vice President lauded Mannathu Padmanabhan’s dedication to society through education, social reform, self-reliance, and community service. He described Mannathu Padmanabhan as a leader of community renaissance, emphasizing his belief in equality and dignity for all individuals. Radhakrishnan noted the remarkable growth of the Nair Service Society, attributing it to Mannathu Padmanabhan’s commitment to building great institutions through dedication rather than wealth.

Reflecting on the broader impact of Mannathu Padmanabhan’s ideals, Radhakrishnan highlighted the spread of his principles beyond Kerala. He commended NSS Delhi for its efforts in preserving Kerala’s cultural heritage and promoting modern education and social service. The Vice President encouraged citizens to uphold Mannathu Padmanabhan’s values of equality, education, compassion, service, and national unity for a better society.
