Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has announced that only authorized ticket holders with QR-coded passes will be allowed to attend the high-profile party executives’ meeting in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The meeting, where Vijay is expected to address party executives and launch election campaign activities, will take place at Thalamuthu Natarajan Ground near the Sheelanayakkanpatti bypass. Due to police restrictions, the gathering will not be open to the general public, with attendance limited to 5,000 people as per police approval.
The party initially planned a large public meeting but had to change it to an executives’ meeting following objections from police officials. The revised event will be held from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the KVP Garden campus in Sheelanayakkanpatti. The district administration has classified the event as a tightly controlled gathering, allowing only 4,998 individuals with QR-coded entry tickets to enter. Spot registrations or walk-ins will not be allowed, and supporters without passes are encouraged to watch the event through live broadcasts.
The strict entry rules aim to ensure security and crowd management during the event, emphasizing the administration’s focus on safety and order. Despite the limitations, enthusiasm is high around Vijay’s participation and TVK’s increasing political activities in preparation for the upcoming elections.
