PGA Tour winners Viktor Hovland and Ryan Fox will participate in the India Championship’s second edition from October 15-18 in New Delhi. The event, held at Delhi Golf Club with a prize of USD 4,000,000, will feature top players like defending champion Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Rose.
Hovland, the first Norwegian to win on both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, is returning for his second appearance after finishing tied sixth last year. He has been a three-time Ryder Cup player and part of Europe’s consecutive wins in Rome in 2023 and New York in 2023.
Expressing his excitement, Hovland said, “I really enjoyed the experience at the DP World India Championship last year. We had a lot of fun both on and off the golf course, and the welcome we received everywhere we went was incredible, so I can’t wait to get back to Delhi in October.”
Fox, a two-time PGA Tour winner, will make his professional debut in India at the Delhi Golf Club. He is currently defending his RBC Canadian Open title and was voted Player of the Year on the DP World Tour in 2022.
Looking forward to the event, Fox stated, “I’m excited to play in India for the first time, and especially after hearing such great things about the DP World India Championship. It sounds like a fantastic event, played on an interesting, historic course, and I’m looking forward to everything about the week.”
The India Championship will be the eighth of nine events in the Back 9 phase of the 2026 Race to Dubai, leading up to the season-ending Tour Play-Offs and the DP World Tour Championship in November at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai.
