A wave of sorrow enveloped Kayamnagar village in Bhojpur district as news broke that 22-year-old Airman Danish Alam lost his life in an Indian Air Force aircraft crash in Assam. The tragic incident occurred near the Jorhat Air Force Station, claiming the lives of five personnel, including Danish Alam, who had recently joined the service under the Agniveer Vayu scheme. Danish Alam, the only son of Mohammad Farooq Alam and Akhtari Begum, was described by villagers as a disciplined and patriotic young man who aspired to serve in the armed forces since childhood.
Family members and villagers were left in shock upon learning of his demise. Danish Alam, who had returned home on leave on May 23, spent quality time with his family before resuming duty on May 30, a meeting none of them anticipated would be their last. The village community, along with relatives, social workers, and local representatives, gathered at the family’s home to offer their condolences, creating a somber atmosphere in Kayamnagar.
Residents of Kayamnagar remembered Danish Alam as a courageous son of Bhojpur who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of the nation. Despite the loss of a promising young individual, the community acknowledged that the country had gained a valiant soldier whose bravery would serve as an inspiration for future generations.
