A dispute over a parked Bolero vehicle during an Ambedkar Jayanti rally in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district turned violent, resulting in injuries to 14 individuals, including family members and police personnel. The disagreement escalated into a clash between two groups, with participants vandalizing the vehicle, sparking further violence in the town.

Around 50 masked individuals reportedly attacked the family of Mani Shukla (22) in their house, pelting stones and assaulting the occupants. Mani Shukla sustained severe injuries, while others, including an 80-year-old and a 22-year-old, were also hurt, with two individuals suffering head injuries.

Following the initial violence, a mob of nearly 200 people targeted the Amiliya police station, damaging property and injuring constables. Senior officials, including District Collector Vikas Mishra, intervened to assess the situation. Out of the 14 injured, eight have been treated and discharged, while six remain under medical care. Police have filed a First Information Report and initiated an investigation into the incident. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm and ignore rumors, assuring that the situation is now under control with measures like a flag march and ongoing dialogues with residents to maintain peace.
