A violent incident occurred in Dubaulia village, West Champaran district, where an administrative team was attacked during a land dispute, causing panic in the area. The attack left five individuals injured, including the Lauriya Station House Officer and the Circle Officer, who have been hospitalized for treatment. The dispute, related to Case No. 109/2025–26, involves a conflict over approximately two acres of land between Manoj Jaiswal and Banshraj Ram.
The violence erupted when the administrative team, following orders from the Land Reforms Deputy Collector, arrived in Dubaulia village to conduct a land survey. One party to the dispute began protesting during the survey, leading to an escalation of violence. The attackers allegedly used sticks and other weapons to assault the administrative team, resulting in injuries to officers and personnel, along with setting a house on fire.
The situation forced the administrative team to retreat without completing the survey as fear spread in the village and surrounding areas. Concerns over law and order and administrative efficiency have been raised following the incident. Police presence has been reinforced, and senior officials are monitoring the situation closely. The administration has promised strict legal action against the perpetrators, with efforts underway to identify and apprehend those involved in the attack.
