A clash over a land dispute in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara district has escalated into a political issue. Former Chhindwara MP Nakul Nath criticized the administration for allegedly acting under political influence and called for a thorough investigation. The incident, involving a Scheduled Caste family and local residents in Prahlad village, led to protests, political debates, and conflicting claims.
Former MP Nakul Nath condemned the assault on the Scheduled Caste family, expressing alarm over the situation. He accused the police and administration of biased behavior and demanded a high-level inquiry. Nath emphasized the need for impartial justice and protection for the affected communities, urging top state officials to intervene.
Current Chhindwara MP Vivek Bunty Sahu refuted allegations linking him to the incident and called for a fair investigation. Sahu visited the police station to address the accusations and later met with the injured parties at a hospital. The issue gained momentum as tribal youths protested in Chhindwara town, demanding swift arrests of the suspects named in the clash.
Tribal leader Pravin Dhurve demanded the swift arrest of all accused individuals within 24 hours, naming specific persons involved in the dispute. Four individuals sustained injuries in the clash and were hospitalized for treatment. Police are investigating the incident, reviewing video evidence and statements from both sides to determine the appropriate course of action.
