The announcement came on Wednesday with a title reveal teaser that unveiled key details about the cast and crew, generating significant buzz among Tamil cinema enthusiasts.
This latest project reunites Vishal and Sundar C after their previous ventures including Aambala, Action, and Madha Gaja Raja. For Tamannaah, Purushan represents her third collaboration with Sundar C and second with Vishal, following their work together in Action. The title reveal promo confirmed Tamannaah as the female lead, while popular comedian Yogi Babu has been roped in for a supporting role.
While the complete storyline remains undisclosed, the teaser offers intriguing glimpses into the film’s narrative. Vishal’s character appears to be a mild-mannered husband concealing a violent side unknown to his dominating wife. This brief preview has sparked considerable curiosity among audiences, though the makers have maintained secrecy about further plot details.
Purushan is being produced by ACS Arun Kumar under the Benzz Media banner, alongside Khushbu Sundar from Avni Cinemax. The film brings together Sundar C’s trusted technical crew, featuring Hiphop Tamizha Adhi as music composer, Gopi Amarnath handling cinematography, and Roger taking charge of editing.
The Vishal-Sundar C partnership has consistently delivered notable films, with their most recent release Madha Gaja Raja achieving commercial success. Similarly, Tamannaah and Sundar C’s previous collaboration Aranmanai 4 emerged as a major box office hit. Yogi Babu’s inclusion in the cast has further amplified expectations for this project.
The title reveal teaser confirmed that shooting for Purushan has commenced, though the makers are yet to announce the release date and additional cast details. With production now underway, fans eagerly await further updates as the film progresses through its shooting schedule in the coming months.
