Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s International President, Alok Kumar, has challenged opposition leaders to provide evidence supporting their claims of misappropriation of donations at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple. Kumar emphasized the need for verification following allegations made by figures like Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, and Ram Gopal Yadav. He stated that the mentioned leaders should assist the investigation with any factual basis they possess.
In response to allegations of missing donations exceeding Rs 20,000 crore, Kumar mentioned that no such amount had been received based on the information available to them. He urged those making claims, such as Samajwadi Party’s Ram Gopal Yadav, to substantiate their statements with supporting documents when questioned by the police. Kumar highlighted the importance of cooperation in aiding the investigation process.
Kumar also addressed accusations by Priyanka Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal regarding the alleged theft of crores of rupees in offerings. He clarified that he did not accuse these leaders directly but suggested that their knowledge could be valuable in shedding light on undisclosed details. The VHP’s annual meeting, relocated to Delhi due to logistical challenges amid the ongoing probe, was explained by Kumar as a necessary adjustment.
Regarding criticism from Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav about the BJP’s handling of the Ram Temple issue, Kumar stressed the significance of actions over words. He expressed confidence in the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in ensuring transparency. Kumar emphasized the government’s commitment to uncovering the truth in the matter.
