West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari highlighted India’s significant infrastructure progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership during the 12 years of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) rule. Adhikari emphasized the country’s transformation into one of the world’s fastest-growing economies, crediting Modi’s dynamic leadership.
Adhikari pointed out key statistics, including the construction of 1,317 new and modernized railway stations and the operation of over 164 Vande Bharat trains across India. He noted the substantial growth in the aviation sector, with the number of airports doubling to over 90 in the past 12 years.
Furthermore, Adhikari highlighted the development in road transport, with the construction of approximately four lakh kilometers of roads and the expansion of national highways. He stressed that these advancements have decentralized economic growth, extending progress to even the most remote villages.
Adhikari also mentioned the improved coordination between the state and Union government in West Bengal, leading to accelerated development activities. He confirmed Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming two-day visit to the state, where he will announce development projects and attend significant events.
