West Ham United’s Premier League future is in jeopardy following a 3-1 defeat by Newcastle United. Nick Woltemade and William Osula scored early goals for Newcastle, leaving West Ham struggling. Despite Valentin Castellanos pulling one back for West Ham, the team couldn’t recover.

The loss puts West Ham at risk of relegation if Tottenham secures a draw in their upcoming matches. Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s late goal for Leeds United also impacted Brighton’s Champions League qualification hopes. Crystal Palace’s draw with Brentford may affect their European prospects.

Sunderland’s comeback win against Everton keeps their slim European qualification chances alive. Everton initially led through Merlin Rohl, but Sunderland turned the game around in the second half. Manchester United’s victory over Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ draw with Fulham rounded off the matchday.

Aston Villa secured a Champions League spot with a win over Liverpool, while Arsenal and Manchester City have crucial matches ahead to maintain their positions in the league.
